Education: Graduated from the University of Alabama in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and a minor in Psychology. She obtained her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Auburn University in May 2010.

Ellison Shields Uzzell graduated from Auburn University with diagnostic training in adult and pediatric comprehensive hearing evaluations and adult hearing aid fittings, including Real Ear verification techniques. Her education included extensive preparation and instruction in balance and electroacoustic measures including adult and pediatric ABR, ECOG, OAE, and ENG testing procedures. A variety of clinical placements contributed to over 2000 hours of experience. She maintains a membership with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology.
