Gary Friedman, M.S., FAAA


Education: Master's Degree in Hearing & Speech Science from the Central Institute for the Deaf, Washington University, St. Louis

Gary Friedman joined Asheville Head, Neck & Ear in November of 2010. He has over 30 years of clinical audiology experience. He earned his Master’s Degree in Hearing & Speech Science in 1980 from the Central Institute for the Deaf (Washington University, St. Louis), where the late Dr. Margaret W. Skinner mentored him.

Gary has worked in a variety of settings. He spent seven years as both an adjunct professor and then audiology clinic director and full-time instructor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has worked in ENT offices, not-for-profit hearing and speech centers, and hearing aid dispensing practices. Gary relocated to North Carolina in 2006, and resides in Fairview with his wife, Patricia. They became first-time grandparents to twin boys the week before he joined us!
